The Church of Eternal Hunger is an annual event intended to celebrate community through art. The event typically includes a potluck and the sharing of music, writing, and any other creative endeavors of the participants. While this event has always been open to all interested, it has so far taken place at private residences. It is time to move into more expansive public spaces in order to encourage broader community involvement. This CoEH event will center around a new, experimental happening: the Wall of Sound. The stage area will be populated with instruments. Anybody may bring any instrument for their own use, and it will be encouraged to bring instruments which can be shared as well. The intent is to have a sort of playground of instruments, where those available for sharing will be marked so that interested people know what is ok to use. The Wall will start with a musical drone upon which participants will build. Over the course of the happening, people will add their music and sounds to the wall, playing in harmony with it, or even in counterpoint to it - whatever people are moved to express within this musical environment. People can switch out instruments as they like, or step in and out of the Wall to variously participate and observe. It is meant to be an organic moving mass - how will it evolve and develop throughout this experiment in sound and music?
